My Family | Boating | Camping | Motorcycling | Four-wheeling | Snowmobiling

Here I am with my beautiful wife, Laurie. She teaches first grade in our home town of Cedar Falls, Iowa. We will soon celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and are still enjoying every single day of life together. We both graduated from the same high school in Jefferson, Iowa. We enjoy action, whether it’s boating, jeeping traveling, physical fitness, or whatever. We don’t like to sit around and let life pass us by.

Here is my family, gathered at a recent holiday. My daughter, Katie, is attending law school in Colorado. My son, Joe, is studying art at the University of Iowa. Also in the photo is my dog, Kaiser, who suddenly died from a blood disease in May of 2007. We still miss him dearly, but we did soon thereafter get a new dog, Lex.

Here I am with my family in Playa del Carman, Mexico. We have taken a few vacations in southern Mexico, and do enjoy the R&R. However, I can’t really sit around and try to relax and do nothing for too long. I start to get “antsy” and anxious to get back home to my regular routine, including following all of the markets!

His artistic interests include drawing, painting and music, including composing songs. Joe certainly did not derive his artistic ability from his dad!

He lived a good, clean life and was rewarded by living nearly a century. Gramps liked to follow the markets, and was always asking me about the grains. He would always talk to me about trading the grain futures, but was just too frugal to ever pull the trigger.
