Here is our jeeping party heading out of Breckenridge, Colorado in early September of 2001. We are about to take on the difficult Mosquito Pass trail, just outside of town. Last year, in early July, we attempted to cross this same mountain pass, but were very disappointed to find the trail was still closed due to deep snow at the higher elevations. We hoped not to be denied this year.

My wife, Laurie, and I stop for a "Kodak Moment" high in the mountains of Colorado. I like wearing my cowboy hat in the mountains — even though my wife and children poke fun at me for wearing it.
