The Wyckoff family spent the 2003 Christmas
holiday at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming and Montana. It
was a great winter adventure. We stayed at the Old Faithful Snow
Lodge right in the heart of Yellowstone. |
 |
And my trusty Jeep was very capable and up to any
wintertime challenge. |
 |
Upon arriving at the small town of West
Yellowstone, Montana, which is just outside of Yellowstone
National Park, we then took a three-hour snowcat ride to our
final destination at Old Faithful Snow Lodge in the center of
Yellowstone. |
 |
Our stay at the Old Faithful Snow Lodge was
great. Me, my wife Laurie, son Joe and daughter Katie pose for a
photo right in front of the famous Old Faithful geyser. |
 |
As you can see, the scenery of Yellowstone in
wintertime is spectacular from a snowmobile. |
 |
Here our snowmobiling group encounters a bison
walking down the trail. Up close, these behemoths have big and
beautiful brown eyes. |
 |
Here I am showing off my Arctic Cat ZL on a high mountain trail above Grand Lake, Colorado. We enjoy snowmobiling in Grand Lake. It’s a very friendly town in the Rocky Mountains. |
 |
This is my son, Joe, and me getting ready to take off for a high mountain snowmobiling adventure at Grand Lake. |
 |
You are seeing my son, Joe, and me ahead of the pack on a high mountain trail above Grand Lake, Colorado. It’s so peaceful up in the high country in the wintertime. |
 |
As you can see, the Rocky Mountain vistas in the winter are spectacular. |

The snowflakes are flying in downtown Grand Lake one evening, and my wife, Laurie, son, Joe and daughter Katie pose for a shot. |
