Meet Jim Wyckoff My Family | Boating | Camping | Motorcycling | Four-wheeling | Other Avocations
This is my wonderful family. My wife, Laurie, and I have been married for 21 years. We were both born and raised in Jefferson, Iowa, and went to school together there. Daughter Katie is a junior at Iowa State University in Ames (my alma mater). Katie is getting married in the summer of 2001. Son Joe is a junior at Cedar Falls High School. He plays on the soccer team and enjoys music. He's also a computer whiz.
My ol' buddy, Scout, and I are out frolicking in the snow. Scout is an 18-month-old German Shepherd. He is with me nearly all of the time. When I'm writing my Daily Markets Update, he's laying right under my feet. (And when I have a tough market to analyze, Scout gives great advice!)
Daughter Katie snickers at her dad trying to play shuffleboard. When I was young, I used to walk down to the local park and watch the "old-timers" push that big puck back and forth never really figuing out what they were trying to accomplish. But they sure were having fun doing whatever it was that they were doing!
This is my mom on the right, and my grandfather on the left, with his second wife. My grandfather is 93 years old and going strong. He was married to my grandmother for over 50 years, before she passed away. He has been married to his second wife for 15 years! Nowadays, many first marriages don't last 15 years, and gramps has reached that number on his second try--and he was over 75 years old when he did it! Gramps loves to talk about the futures markets, but he's a bit too tight with his finances to trade.
This is my daughter, Katie, and her fiancé Jon. They are getting married this summer unless her dad loses all of his money trading futures!!! |
